Skylar brings over 13 years of experience in community outreach with expertise in project management, recruitment and training, stakeholder engagement and Indigenous outreach.

A natural relationship builder with a talent for listening, uplifting people and putting minds at ease, Skylar has extensive experience managing outreach teams that offer information, tools and programming to communities in order to encourage behaviour change in the areas of health and sustainability.

In her role as Community Liaison Officer for large-scale water infrastructure and housing projects, Skylar provides a vital link between the public and project teams, acting as a first point of contact to receive questions and concerns about projects and working to find appropriate responses and solutions to encourage positive relationship building.

Skylar has completed coursework in Indigenous cultural safety and restorative justice facilitation and has led province-wide campaigns that promote tobacco cessation.
