Empowering Youth to Combat Stigma About Homelessness

Empowering youth to combat stigma and promote dignity for people experiencing homelessness in Surrey.

The Dignity Project

Ideaspace designed and led The Dignity Project, a six-week youth engagement program where 18 high school students learned about homelessness through workshops, personal interviews with those with lived experience, and creative collaboration to develop public awareness campaigns.

The project amplified youth voices, resulting in two impactful campaigns launched in 2023, fostering empathy and inspiring community-wide action to create a more inclusive Surrey.
